APPSC Group 2 2023 Selection Process

Candidates must take the APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam, and those who pass the prelims exam are eligible to take the APPSC Group Mains Exam. Candidates who passed the mains exam will take the APPSC Group 2 Computer Proficiency examination. 

The APPSC Group 2 selection method consists of three stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

Stage 2: The Main Exam 

Stage 3: Computer Proficiency Examination

4th Stage: Document Verification

APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam Pattern 2023-24

  • The APPSC Group 2 Prelims test is a screening step that solely selects students for the mains test.
  • The test consists of 150 multiple-choice questions.
  • The test is broken into three sections: general studies, mental ability, and mathematics.
  • For each incorrect response, one-third of the scores are deducted.
  • The test will take 150 minutes to complete.

APPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Pattern 2023-24

The test consists of three papers, each of equal weight.

All of the questions are of the objective variety. The level of the questions is comparable to that of a bachelor’s degree.

Each question is worth one point.

There is a negative marking method in place that awards one-third of a point for each incorrect response.
